The Gary Player Country Club Golf Course, designed by Gary Player, is an 18-hole par-72 walking course, with a 5km running trail along the course. It is also home to the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge, part of the European Tour’s Race to Dubai, which plays host to some of the world’s golfing legends. When construction of the Sun City Resort began in 1978, the decision was taken to build a golf course that would rival the best in the world. The Gary Player Country Club is home to the prestigious Nedbank Golf Challenge, previously the Million Dollar Golf Challenge, since 1981. The tournament, now part of the European Tour’s Race to Dubai, is one of golf’s most recognisable events and has become one of the most admired tournaments by leading players around the world. The Course

The Club
The Gary Player Country Club has a fully equipped health club and spa of an international standard, and offers a full range of beauty treatments and therapies, including a hair salon. Other facilities include: Chipping green, Gym, Halfway house, Locker facilities, Pro shop, Club hire, Putting green, Showers and a Steam room. You won’t go hungry while you’re at Sun City. The Gary Player Country Club’s restaurant and bar overlook magnificent stretches of fairways and greens. Breakfast and light lunches are served to both golfers and non-golfers. The Gary Player Bar is also open to enjoy refreshments. Snacks are available to golfers at the Halfway House situated next to the 9th hole.
