Elliott Bay is a part of the Central Basin region of Puget Sound. It is in the U.S. state of Washington, extending southeastward between West Point in the north and Alki Point in the south. And because Elliot Bay is the most prevalent source of water when visiting Seattle, it is part-and-parcel to the inner fabric of the “city by the sound.” From the original Duwamish peoples that lived here, to the locals that come enjoy the Elliot Bay Park along the waterfront, Elliot Bay is part of the culture, and it’s here that many visitors come to explore Seattle.

The Marina
Elliott Bay Marina, with its stunning views of the Seattle skyline and the Olympic Mountains, is a tranquil location to moor. The route goes via Olympic Sculpture Park and Myrtle Edwards Park. There is a significant amount of difference over its length, ranging from dense metropolitan districts to more open and industrial regions. To the west, there are views of the lake. This path provides a pleasant way to go north-south across Seattle, with fewer intersections than walking on city streets. The Pike Street Hillclimb and the Lenora Street Bridge are two options for getting into downtown. Elliott Bay marina crew provides two restaurants, repair facilities, 24-hour security, a fuel dock, a convenience shop, year-round events, and courteous customer service. Elliot Bay offers many things to many people, including two marinas, multiple piers (including the iconic Piers 57 and 59), the Seattle Great Wheel, and the Seattle Aquarium. Not the least of which is Seattle's huge port, one of America's largest and most vital ports. Ferries also transport commuters and tourists over the Bay to Bainbridge Island and Vashon Island. The Club
The Seattle Yacht Club is now accessible to reciprocal visitors for dining and moorage. SYC hopes to see you at the Club. As a private club, Seattle Yacht Club invites guests to our Portage Bay Mainstation for a number of reasons. Members' guests are always welcome when accompanied by their member host. For public events such as Opening Day and sailing courses, the public is welcome to join in the excitement while adhering to the rules of the occasion. Guests attending private events, such as weddings, reunions, and business meetings, are invited to our Mainstation and Elliott Bay Outstation within the confines of the private event. Reciprocal visitors of some yacht clubs are also welcome to enjoy our restaurants, bar, shops, and guest moorage. Throughout the year, SYC provides racing and cruising opportunities to the sailing community. The SYC Sailing program provides Adult Sailing Lessons, Youth Summer Sailing School, Junior Racing, and conducts Regattas all year. Non-members are welcome in all of these sessions.
